This page is dedicated to archiving any good photo that the satellites take as much as possible, found only here, in Guadalupe Island Von Karman Vortex Street Watch. If Aqua and Terra satellite both taken a good photo, it will be shown on the same section.

Note: Only photos showing a good or interesting vortex street taken by either the Terra or Aqua satellite will be shown here.
This means that dissipating, displaced, ragged, or disorganized-looking vortices will not be shown.

No Von Karman Vortices can be see in the image, but a large spiral of clouds can be seen south west of Guadalupe island on July 19, 2012, which is the remnant low of Hurricane Fabio. It shows that the low pressure area does not cause a vortex street to form.

No Von Karman Vortices can be see in the image, but a spiral can be seen south west of Guadalupe island on July 16, 2012, which is which is caused by the shifting winds, when a southerly flow of air turns to a westerly flow, which is caused by Hurricane Fabio. It shows that a single vortex can form of Guadalupe island, under shifting winds.

A typical dissipating von karman vortex street off Guadalupe Island on May 25, 2012. What happens, is that the wind flow which once supported the vortex street slows down, or starts to change direction which can cause a von karman vortex street to dissipate.
